Ingredients :
Idly - 6 No's Preparation Time : 15 Min
Mustard seeds - 1/2 Tsp
Urad/Channa Dal - 1 Tsp Serves : 4 People
Onions - 1 Cup
Turmeric - 1 Tsp
Red Chilly - 2
Curry Leaf
Coriander Leaf
Salt
Oil/Ghee
Method :
At first you need to mash the idly's finely. If its a left over idly prepared previously, mashing will be easy, or prepare idly's atleast 3 hour prior let it cool down, before preparing the uppuma. Spread
1 Tsp salt to it.
Heat 3 tbsp oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, Urad/Channa Dal and Red chilly. Then add chopped onions, curry leaves, coriander seeds and turmeric. Stir until onion cooks well.
Then add the mashed idly's in the pan. Stir it until the idly's get well coated in the turmeric powder and rest of the ingredients gets mixed well. Simmer the stove and stir for 5 minutes. Add ghee if needed. Transfer it to a serving bowl.
