Tomato curry is very simple and quick recipe to make. It goes well with rice & roti. I love this recipe specially with crunchy small onion in it. Lets cook.
Add onions and curry leaf & saute it. Then add the chopped tomatoes, salt & Turmeric. Saute it until the tomatoes get soften.
Add chilly powder and stir it. Cook until the curry becomes thick and oil floats on top.
Add 2 Tbsp shredded coconut and mix it. Switch off the flame. Garnish it with coriander leaves.
Transfer it to a serving bowl.
Serve hot with rice & mix some ghee. Enjoy.
Ingredients :
Tomato - 5 Preparation Time : 20 Min
Small Onions - 1 cup
Cloves- 2 Serves : 2 people
Cinnamon - 1/2'' piece
Curry/ Coriander leaves
Mustard seeds - 1/4 Tsp
Channa dal - 1/2 Tsp
Chilly Powder - 1/2 Tsp
Turmeric Powder - pinch
Shredded coconut - 2 Tbsp
Salt
Oil

Method :
Wash and chop the tomatoes into small pieces. Heat 3 Tbsp oil in a pan & add Mustard seeds, Channa dal, Cinnamon & cloves.
Add onions and curry leaf & saute it. Then add the chopped tomatoes, salt & Turmeric. Saute it until the tomatoes get soften.
Add chilly powder and stir it. Cook until the curry becomes thick and oil floats on top.
