Cauliflower Gravy or Cauliflower Chops

         Cauliflower Gravy is made with coconut and spices served with rice or roti. It is so easy to prepare. This same masala is used to make Brinjal chops, Egg chops and tomato chops. Lets try.

Ingredients :

Cauliflower - 1 small                                                 Preparation Time : 20 min
Onions - 1 cup
Tomato - 1                                                               Serves : 2 People
Curry leaves/coriander leaf
Cauliflower chops
Salt
Turmeric
Oil

Masala to grind :
Coconut - 1/2 cup
Coriander seeds - 1 Tbsp
Fennel seeds - 1/2 Tsp
Cinnamon - 1'' piece
Cloves - 4
Poppy seeds -1/2 Tsp
Ginger/Garlic - 1 Tbsp
Redchilly - 2


Method :

Set all the masala spices to grind. Cut the cauliflower into small pieces and keep aside.

                         

Grind all the masala to smooth paste.
                        

Heat 4 Tbsp oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, Onions, curry leaf & tomato. Saute it for a while. Add the cauliflower, Turmeric and salt.

                       

Mix it well. Saute it for 5 min. Then add the grinded masalas to it.

                     

Add enough water to the masala until the cauliflower sinks. Stir it well. Close it slightly with a lid. Let the gravy boil well until the masala smell reduces and cauliflower gets cooked well. Allow the gravy to become thick. 

                      

 Garnish with coriander leaves.


Tasty and spicy cauliflower chops is ready. Serve with hot Rice or Roti.
