Rava is a common Breakfast recipe in India. This can be prepared very quickly and easily. Correct proportion of water has to added to get tasty Uppuma. Adding ghee enhance the taste. You can roast the rava before preparing to avoid stickiness. Lets cook.
Ingredients :
Rava - 1 Cup Preparation Time : 15 Min
Onions - 1 cup
Green chilly - 4 Serves : 2 People
Curry Leaves
Coriander Leaves
Mustard seeds -1/2 Tsp
Channa dal - 1 Tsp
Salt - 1 Tbsp
Oil
Ghee
Method :
Heat 1 Tsp Ghee in a pan & roast the Rava for 10 min. Transfer it to a plate.

Heat 1 Tsp Ghee in a pan & roast the Rava for 10 min. Transfer it to a plate.
Heat 5 Tbsp oil in the pan and add mustard seeds & channa dal once it splutters add onions, green chilly & curry leaf. Saute it for 2 min.
Add 4 cups of water to the onions and let it boil well. Add salt and coriander leaves in the boiling water. Check if the salt is correct before adding rava. Reduce to low flame. Add the roasted rava all at once, Stir it without forming any lumps. Close the pan with a lid for 5 min.
Open the lid and stir the uppuma. Add 3 Tbsp ghee and mix it well.
Tasty Rava Uppuma is ready. Serve hot with Coconut chutney.
