Wheat Upma (Godhumai Rava Upma)

       Upma is one of a common breakfast recipe of South India. Godhumai Rava Upma is made from cracked/broken wheat.
Ingredients :

Godhumai Rava - 1 Cup
Big Onions - 1                                                           Preparation Time : 15 Min
Green Chilly - 3
Mustard Seed- 1/4 Tsp                                              Serves : 3 People
Urad Dal - 1/4 Tsp
Channa Dal - 1/2
Coriander Leaf
Curry Leaf
Salt - 1 Tbsp
Water - 3 Cups
Oil
Ghee



Method :

Heat 4 Tbsp oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, Urad dal & Channa Dal.


Once mustard seeds splutter add Onions, Green chilly & Curry leaves and saute it.


Once the onions is cooked add 3 cups water and 1 tbsp salt. Once the water boils bring to low flame & add  Godhumai rava to it. Stir until it mixes well & close the pan with a lid for 5 min.


Open the lid & stir the upma well. Add 2 Tbsp ghee and stir it.


Garnish with coriander leaves.


Tasty Godhumai Rava Upma is ready. Transfer it to a serving dish.


Serve hot with coconut chutney.
