Lady's finger poriyal is a common vegetarian recipes. It is a excellent fiber rich vegetable and helps to relieve constipation and indigestion.
Ingredients :
Lady's Finger or Okra - 1/2 Kg Preparation Time : 20 min
Onions - 1/2 cup chopped
Mustard seeds ) Serves : 2 people
Urad dal ) - 1/2 Tbsp
Channa dal )
Tomato - 1 small
Grated coconut - 2 Tbsp
Chilly powder - 1/2 Tsp
Tumeric - a pinch
Salt
Oil
Add Chilly powder and stir it. Finally add grated coconut and mix it well
Serve hot.

Method :
Wash the Lady's finger and chop them finely. Heat a pan with 3 Tbsp oil and add Mustard seeds, urad dal, channa dal.
Add onions, turmeric, salt and Lady's finger chopped. Stir it well. While stirring you'll note sticky-gel like substance coming out. Keep on stirring it while the sticky-gel will reduce.
Once the vegetable is cooked well, the gel will disappear. Then add chopped tomatoes to it and stir it until it gets well cooked.
Add Chilly powder and stir it. Finally add grated coconut and mix it well
Turn off the stove and transfer it to a serving dish.
