Thakkali chops is one of the tastiest lunch recipe. This is one of everyone's favorite recipe at my home. Everyone trying this recipe will love it & prepare it often. More the tomatoes, more the taste. Use tomatoes which is less sour. Lets cook.
Ingredients :
Tomato - 4 or 5 Preparation Time : 20 Min
Small onions - 1 cup
Curry Leaf Serves : 2 People
Turmeric - pinch
Salt
Oil
Ghee - 1 Tbsp
Masala to Grind :
Coriander seeds - 2 Tbsp
Cinnamon - 1 '' size
Cloves - 3
Pepper - 3 pods
Red chilly - 3
Fennel seeds - 1 Tsp
Ginger - 2 pods
Garlic - 1 '' size
Coconut - 1/2 Cup
Method :
Set all the masalas to grind. Grind it to smooth paste & keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and kadalai paruppu. Then add onions,curry leaf, chopped tomatoes,Turmeric and salt. Saute it until tomato gets soften.
Then add grinded masala to the sauteed tomatoes. Stir it well. Keep it low flame & close with lid to avoid splashing.
Keep on stirring it occasionally until the gravy thickens and oil oozes out. Finally add 1 Tbsp ghee and transfer it to a serving bowl.
Serve hot with rice.
