Chicken Curry

          This is my  first time to try this Chicken curry which i learnt from one of my friend. It came out very well. I loved it with hot idly's on a Sunday morning.  Lets try out this chicken curry and enjoy your Sunday breakfast.

Ingredients :

Chicken - 1/2 Kg                                               Preparation Time : 30 Min
Onions - 1 Cup
Curry leaves                                                       Serves : 2 People
Mustard Seeds - 1/2 Tsp
Turmeric -1/4 Tsp
Curry masala powder - 1/2 Tsp
Salt - 1 Tbsp
Sesame Oil - 5 Tbsp

To Roast & Grind :

Small Onions - 6
Red chilly - 3
Garlic - 4 pods
Cinnamon - 1'' piece
Cloves - 3
Cumin seeds - 1 Tsp
Fennel seeds - 1/2 Tsp
Pepper - 6
Cardamom(optional) - 2 
Rice - 1 Tsp
Coconut - 1/2 Cup

Method :

Set all the masala ingredients to roast.

                                

Heat 1 Tbsp oil in a pan & roast all the ingredients above until you get nice aroma. Cool it & grind it to smooth paste.

                                

Heat a pressure cooker pan with 5 Tbsp oil & add mustard seeds once it splutters, add onions, curry leaves. Saute it for 5 min. Then add chicken, Turmeric, Curry masala powder and salt. Saute until chicken gets mixed well.

                                

Then add masala paste to the chicken. And add enough water to it. Close the lid & Pressure cook it for 1 whistles. Switch of the stove.

                               

Open the lid and light the stove. Cook until the gravy thickens.
            


Transfer it to a serving bowl. Serve hot with Idly, Dosa, Roti or Rice.
