This Chicken gravy is made with raw spices, grinded with coconut. Sesame oil gives excellent flavor and immense taste to the gravy.
Ingredients :
Chicken - 1/2 Kg Preparation Time : 45 Min
Onions - 1 cup
Tomato - 1 Serves : 4 People
Badaga(Dried Onions) - Few
Chilly Powder - 2 Tbsp
Curry Masala Powder - 1 Tsp
Turmeric - Pinch
Curry leaf
Salt
Sesame Oil

Masala to Grind :
Coconut - 1/2 Cup
Coriander seeds - 2 Tbsp
Cinnamon - 1'' size
Cloves - 5
Pepper - 5
Fennel seeds - 1/2 Tsp
Poppy Seeds - 1 Tsp
Ginger - 2'' size
Garlic - 4/6 pods
Fried Gram - 1 Tsp
Method :
Grind all the ingredients(seen in the plate) to a smooth paste.
Heat 5 Tbsp sesame oil in a pressure cooker, add mustard seeds, onions, badaga, Tomato, Curry Leaf one by one & fry it well. Then add Chilly powder, Curry masala powder, Turmeric & saute it.
Then add chicken and salt. Stir it well until oil comes out.
Add the grinded masala to the chicken & pour enough water, for the masala to boil. Close the pressure cooker lid and cook it for 1 whistle.
Open the pressure cooker once the pressure is gone. Transfer it to a serving dish.
Serve hot with Chicken Briyani, Rice, Idly, Dosa & Chappati.
