Coriander Chutney or Cilantro Chutney( Kothamalli Chutney)

           Coriander leaf is a herb with fantastic flavor. It is being used in wide variety of cuisines. Nor a dish ends up without garnishing Cilantro. It is typically used to make Chutney, Kothamalli Pulao, Kothamalli puli kulambu, Kothamali rasam, Kothamali pickle etc.,

Ingredients :

Coconut - 1/2 cup                                                             Preparation Time : 10 Min
Salt
Coriander  - 1 Bunch                                                         Serves : 2 people
Red Chilly  - 1
Coriander seeds - 1 Tsp
Cumin seeds - 1/2 Tsp
Urad Dal - 1/4 Tsp
Channa Dal - 1/2 Tsp
Tamarind - 1/2'' size( A small piece)
Garlic  - 1 pod

Coriander Chutney

Method :
  Heat 1 Tsp oil in a pan & roast all above Ingredients.

                             

Wash the coriander leaves, chop it & add it to the fried ingredients. Saute it until the moisture in coriander leaves is evaporated. Let it cool down before you grind.

                             

Add the coconut, salt and roasted ingredients to a mixer jar & grind it smooth.

                            

Transfer it to a bowl.

                                               
Tastes great with Idly or Dosa.
