Badam Halwa

Ingredients:

Almond (Badam) - 1 cup                                            Preparation Time :  1 Hr
Sugar - 1 1/2 cup
Nutmeg Powder( ) - 1/2 Tsp                                       Calories : 1 Tbsp - 100 Cal
Ghee - 2 Cups
Orange food color - A pinch

Badam Halwa
Method :

Soak the dry Almonds in Hot water for 15 min. Then peel the outer skin of the almond seed. The skin comes out easily and quick, if it is well soaked in hot water.

Once all the almonds are peeled, grind it to a paste but not very smooth. Add milk to grind if needed.
Dont add water to grind.

Transfer the grinded paste to a cooking bowl and add sugar in it. Just leave it for a while so that sugar get dissolved with the almond paste.

Light the stove and keep it in medium flame. Keep on stirring it continuously for 10 min. Once it gets well boiled add orange food color and stir it for 10 min.

You can adjust the flame medium to low. Keep on stirring  until it turns thick consistency. You may note some white bubbles coming while stirring. Then switch off the stove. The Bowl will have enough heat until you finish the process.

Add Ghee little by little and stir it. And add nutmeg powder too. Keep on stirring it well while the Ghee will get well absorbed every time you add. (The Ghee must be added only after you switch off the flame).

Once you add all the ghee you'll get a good consistency. Transfer it, immedietly to a bowl and spread it evenly.

Yummy Badam Halwa is ready. Serve hot.

Notes:
You'll get approx 1/2 Kg of  Badam Halwa.
Serves 15-20 people depends on size of each piece.

Thank you. See you in next post.
